Description

I did this drawing as a relatively quick exercise in freehand drawing (as opposed to the grid-technique I frequently use)
and I thought it turned out better than just an exercise but seeing it on my monitor lots of flaws come up.
The faces are recognizable, especially since they back each other up (it's clear who the five together are supposed to be),
but they are all off and I see little point in refining this drawing further.
What's wrong about it is that I always tend to draw faces wider then they are in the reference photos... What is that?
I already knew that before I started it and actually tried to counteract upon that, but clearly not enough still.
Something to keep in mind.

Freehand drawing is hard!

I started with freehand drawing right at the beginning of my, till so far, short drawing quest. I have to say that drawing with a grid does have a great advantage, especially for hyperrealism, which I cannot do (yet ;) )! You inspire me greatly friend! And this is pretty darn good! I think sketches like this are only stepping stones towards the ultimate goal of master skill. I have to say that you are quite close :)
